Designed for Homes That Want More

We're not a typical painting company. We do the finishes most painters in Orange County can't: limewash, Venetian plaster, Roman clay and wainscoting. Our founder sets the standard, trains every crew and checks every job against it. Here is who we work best with.

You'll probably enjoy working with us if

  • You care how the wall looks up close, not just from across the room.

  • You want a written price before any work starts.

  • You want limewash, plaster or a finish that paint can't give you.

  • You or your designer want one person who owns the result.

We're probably not the right fit if

  • You're looking for the lowest price in town.

  • You need the job done this week.

  • The project is under $2,500.

  • You want walls rolled fast, with no time for prep.

The French Finish Method

Breno started painting at 14 in his father's company in France and spent ten years in the French trade. He moved to California in 2017, worked eight years as a product designer, then opened Riot Renovation in 2025. He is a Meoded certified applicator, and every crew member is trained to his method: the same three steps on every job, so you always know what happens next and what it costs.

What Irvine & Orange County Homeowners Say

As a designer myself, I admit to being a bit picky. His conscientious true-French craftsmanship could not have been better suited to our needs. Breno is an experienced designer himself — a surprise bonus. Our home is now more elegant than ever.

Laguna Woods · Feature Wall

Breno, the owner, was hands-on throughout the entire process, constantly checking in to ensure the quality met — and exceeded — my expectations. Because they did such a phenomenal job, I've already hired them to paint our cabinets next.

Thomas

San Juan Capistrano · Interior Painting

I’m obsessed with how my place turned out. The clay plaster is stunning and gives the walls such a soft, cozy vibe that feels so chic. The accent wall behind the TV? Pure perfection.
