Riot Renovation was founded by Breno, a French-trained painter with a designer's eye.
Breno started painting at 14 in his father's company alongside his brother. At 17 he moved to Orléans then spent the next decade at Dupont Peinture working high-end residential. Level 5 finishes, hand-applied trim, the methodical French approach to craft.
In 2017 he moved to the United States and shifted into design. Eight years as a product designer working on color systems, composition, and how visuals carry meaning. Different medium, same instinct for how things should look and feel.
During those years he also watched American contractors approach residential painting in ways that didn't match what he'd been taught in France. The corners cut. The prep skipped. The finishes that wouldn't pass inspection back home.
In 2025 he came back to painting on his own terms. Passed the California B-2 license and opened Riot Renovation in Orange County to apply French trade standards to American homes, with a designer's eye for color, undertone, and how a finish behaves in your light.

How we operate
Riot operates on a chef-led model. The founder sets the standard. The crew is trained to deliver it. The standard belongs to Riot, not to any one person on a given job.
This is the difference between a craftsman who works alone and a company that scales without losing the craft.
Every project is executed to the standard that was set in France. The crew is local. The training is French. The result is consistent.
